I use a lot of "found objects" in my work. Instead of deigning something, then looking for parts, I find my inspiration in the parts first. I ask myself "What the heck could THIS be?" And then come up with something wild by sticking the pieces together...

 
To the left, design for a really, really big gun... almost twice as tall as the KSA, reminiscent of Five Star Stories.  To the right, a more conventional design with a belt fed magazine and central rocket.

MR-9 flamer and two fuel tanks with feeder hoses leading to the ignition system.

Better notes for the magazine, and how to keep the belt feed out of the way if retaining the two-rocket Jump Pack.
