I use a lot of "found objects" in my work. Instead of deigning something, then looking for parts, I find my inspiration in the parts themselves. I ask myself first "What the heck could THIS be?" And then come up with something wild by sticking the pieces together...

The original VOE had everything!

From the sides of the Jump Pack were mounted two rocket pods.  Similar to the multi-rocket boxes used in W.W.II by the Germans or by America atop the Sherman tanks.  Good for covering fire though not as accurate.  Above the Jump Pack is a rack for guided rockets, being deployed from either side on a sliding tray.  And above this, was a pair of lasers, with similar specs to the SAFS's left arm.

Profile of the guided rocket rack.

Two designs for rocket pods.  Each one shown here is elliptical, packed with micro-rocket
tubes.  They swivel from a stowed reentry position, to a forward facing launch angle.

As the KSA takes shape, these pics of the actual parts will be good for comparison.
