Paintball Thompson 1928:
Several people have asked me about a paintball version of the M41-A Pulse Rifle. So far, the only real answer has been to build an AirSoft version and then use the available 6mm paintballs. Unfortunately, I have never heard any good reports on using these paintballs in an AirSoft gun. However, there may be relief in sight. Extreme Sports & Hobbies offers a line of paintball replicas of real steel weapons, one of which is the Thompson 1928. From the images, it looks to be an extremely well done replica that accepts standard paintballs. It is a 1928, so the bolt slot is on the top, but the bolt has been removed. The air hose port for the paintball mechanism is where the bolt would be on the M1A1. They are available on a special order basis for $669 with a $100 deposit.

Maruzen M870 Grip Version Released:
DEN Trinity has received in the new Maruzen gas-powered Remington M870 Grip Version replicas. Good news for those building a Pulse Rifle, as the Combat Shorty version has been impossible to find lately. The long version (left) is $179 plus shipping, and the Shorty (right) version is $170 plus shipping. Sets of spare shells are $15 plus shipping. Unlike the spring-powered AirSoft shotgun replicas from Tokyo Marui, these will actually cycle the shells through the gun and eject them when they are spent. |
Pulse Rifle picture added:
Thanks to Tony Densley for informing me that I had mistakenly listed a Relics Stunt Pulse Rifle as the Terran Traders Pulse Rifle Kit. I have corrected the error. Tony also provided an image of the Terran Trader Pulse Rifle Kit, and it has been added to the Replicas section.

Best viewed in:
This portion of the Sci-Firearms.com site is best viewed in Internet Explorer 5.5 at 1024x768 or larger. However, it should be viewable with slight differences in other browsers. There are some formatting issues I am working on to make it look the exact same in Netscape Navigator and earlier versions of Internet Explorer, but they are not fixed yet.
Welcome to the new Sci-Firearms.com M41-A Pulse Rifle Resource.
This site will focus on the ALIENS franchise in general, and the M-41A Pulse Rifle in particular. I have long looked for such an online repository, and have at last decided to take it upon myself to do.
Not much of this section works yet, but I will be remedying that throughout the week. Please check back for updates, and if you feel you have something you would like to contribute to this site, please contact me. In the meantime, here's an In Progress render of the updated 3D CGI Pulse Rifle I am doing in LightWave 6.5:
